Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)

HCG:

It’s a traditional no-brainer weight loss plan: eat less food and exercise more. Sure, it sounds like that should logically work, right? Why is it that while on the orally administered Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). HCG is human chorionic gonadotrophin is an hormone secreted in pregnancy that is made by the developing embryo soon after conception and later by the syncytiotrophoblast to maintain the fetal viability preventing the disintegration of the corpus luteum of the ovary and thereby maintain progesterone production that is critical for a pregnancy in humans; it also affects the immune tolerance of the pregnancy.

HCG is provided as a glycoprotein powder to be diluted with water, and acts in the body like luteinizing hormone (LH), stimulating the testes to produce testosterone even when natural LH is not present or is deficient. Thus, if this drug is used, it is preferably used during the cycle itself. A daily amount of 500 IU is generally sufficient, and in my opinion usage should not exceed 1000 IU per day. Doses over 1000 IU are noted for their tendency to cause or aggravate gynecomastia, and also act to desensitize the testicles to LH. Some hCG products are diluted 5000 or even 10,000 IU per mL, while others are diluted 1000 IU per mL. So far as I know there is no need to make the preparation so dilute. Once mixed, the preparation should be refrigerated and used within a few weeks. The substance is also somewhat temperature sensitive before mixing and should not be exposed to excessive heat.

HCG Diet:

Before learning about the HCG diet protocol, it’s good to know that there are many diet plans and diets for weight loss that offer promises of tempting favorites or low carb alternatives to your daily lifestyle. Original hCG diet protocol, “Pounds and Inches.” even if your weight loss specialist has provided you with a different protocol, it can be helpful to know how the hCG diet was initially intended. The HCG Diet Protocol recognizes this imbalance with dietary needs and current portion sizes by reducing the total number of calories consumed in one day to five hundred.

HCG weight loss acts to give your body the required energy needed to grow muscles without the energy that would otherwise be turned into fat. The diet requires one hundred grams of protein per day, which is about twice as much as your standard intake. Intramuscular HCG injections must be undertaken each day for proper fat control. While homeopathic HCG treatments are available for those who prefer not to use needles, they have been proven less effective in this weight loss diet plan.

HCG Pregnyl (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a hormone that is produced by the female placenta during pregnancy. HCG is an FDA approved medication normally used for female fertility issues and pediatric hormone therapy known to be able to cause ovulation. It also has some other uses such as in prepubescent boys to initiate the dropping of the testicles or more recently it has been used in the widely successful diet created by Dr. ATW Simeons.

Foods allowed on HCG Diet:

The HCG diet is most commonly referring to the British physician, Dr. Simeon’s protocol that he identified in the mid 1950′s. He discovered that when administered daily HCG patients could maintain their health through a low calorie diet, when on a low calorie diet without HCG patients became irritable, had hunger cravings, weakness and/or headaches. Dr Simeon’s protocol requires you to eat fruit, vegetables and meat, fish or poultry. There is a vegetarian version as well. You will generally receive the diet information along with your order of HCG as there are some edited versions depending on the supplier.

If you stop loosing weight AND don’t have a BM every three days, it’s probably time to get the bowels moving again. There are colonics that will do this for you – I’ve not had to resort to that. Donna takes psyllium power with water before whe goes to bed.
